Tour Overview

Your Romantic Escape into the Misty Forest

Uganda is called the Pearl of Africa for good reason. In four nights you cross the Equator, cruise past hippos, look for lions resting in fig trees, and walk into Bwindi to meet a gorilla family. Everything between is planned so that the two of you can simply arrive and look. This quote is valid for 14 days from the issue date, to 30 October 2026.

Highlights

  • Private gorilla trek in Bwindi with permits secured first
  • Boat cruise on Lake Mburo
  • Tree climbing lion territory at Ishasha
  • Candlelit dinners and a sundowner for two
  • Private vehicle and a driver guide who knows the stories

Good to know

  • Moderate fitness is enough for the trek
  • Minimum age for trekking is 15 years
  • Best months: June to September, December to February
  • Arrive in Entebbe before 13:00 on Day 1

Day by Day Programme

Five Days, Realistically Paced

Driving times are honest estimates including stops. Day 2 is the longest, and we balance it with a gentle Day 1 and a rest evening in the forest.

Money and connectivity

Carry some US dollars in recent notes for tips and small purchases. Cards work in Entebbe but are limited at lodges. Signal can be weak in the forest, so tell family before you go quiet.

Fitness and altitude

The forest sits between roughly 1,160 and 2,600 metres. Trails can be steep and slippery. Moderate fitness is enough, and our rangers set a comfortable pace. Porters are available.
