Good to know
Frequently asked questions
What is the best time to visit Rwanda?
The dry seasons from June to September and December to February give firmer trails and easier trekking, and gorilla permits for these months sell out early. The green seasons (March to May and October to November) are quieter, lush and often lower in price.
How much is a gorilla permit in Rwanda?
A Rwanda gorilla permit is USD 1,500 per person for one trek and one hour with a gorilla family. We book it for you and it is included in the gorilla packages above.
What does a package price include?
Every package includes lodging in your chosen tier, meals as stated in your quote, a private 4x4 with a driver guide, park fees and the permits named in the itinerary. International flights, visas, travel insurance, tips and personal items are extra.
Can I combine Rwanda with Uganda or Kenya?
Yes. Our Uganda team can add gorilla trekking in Bwindi, chimpanzee tracking in Kibale or a Maasai Mara safari to any Rwanda trip, with permits and transfers arranged for you.
How do I book and pay?
A 30 percent deposit confirms your booking and permits, and the balance is due 60 days before arrival. You can pay online through our secure WeTravel payment page, and we send bank and mobile money details with your confirmation.
